  • CMMS facilitates hospital’s preventive maintenance program
  • Hospital uses CMMS to maintain regulatory compliance.

NewYork-Presbyterian, one of the largest hospital networks in the U.S., has more than 2 million patient visits annually at its six major centers throughout New York City. With more than 11 million square feet of hospital space devoted to excellence in patient care, the hospital must efficiently track its maintenance needs, verify regulatory compliance, and help management make informed maintenance decisions. The hospital is using a computer maintenance management system (CMMS) implemented by Gannett Fleming to meet its maintenance and regulatory goals, helping the hospital maintain its best-in-class facilities.

What We Did

Gannett Fleming provided various facilities management support services at seven hospitals to measure the facilities’ performance indicators, monitor facility operation, and help the hospital perform preventive maintenance. Inventory items were tracked and stocked to compile a comprehensive list of assets. Personnel were trained to maintain the master equipment list and preventive maintenance plan. Maintenance staff run monthly benchmark reports to confirm that operations are running efficiently.

Key Features

  • Hospital tracks work order performance and manpower utilization to benchmark operations
  • Joint commission inspection assistance and warranty enforcement lead to regulatory compliance.
