Stapley Grows Gannett Fleming Florida Environmental Team

(Tampa, Fla.) Claire J. Stapley has joined Gannett Fleming as a project manager, to meet the growing demand for the firm’s environmental services in Florida. Stapley is based in the firm’s Tampa, Florida, office and specializes in contaminated site assessments for commercial and industrial properties, design and implementation of remedial technologies, and federal and state regulatory standards. 

As part of a statewide contract for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Stapley provides petroleum contamination site-response action services throughout the state, in addition to other assessment, compliance, and remediation services. She also will be a vital part of the team providing environmental services to the Port of Tampa Bay. 

“Gannett Fleming is proud to be working with our clients to improve the environment in Florida,” said Paul Nowicki, PE, executive vice president and director of the Southeast Region. “Through the years, we have become a trusted advisor to the Florida DEP and continue to increase the number of projects under our on-call contract with the department. Claire’s expertise helps us continue to provide expert service to our Florida environmental clients.”

Stapley holds a bachelor of science in chemical engineering and a master of science in environmental engineering, both from the University of South Florida. She is a past student chapter president of the Florida Water Environment Association and a past student chapter vice president of the American Water Works Association. She is currently a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Tampa Bay Association of Environmental Professionals.
