Gannett Fleming, a leading global infrastructure and engineering firm, is pleased to announce its newest senior vice presidents: Andrew Gillespie, Brad Mason, Scott Sibley, and Christopher Thompson.
Andrew Gillespie, PE, PEng, with nearly 30 years of experience, is a veteran transit and rail team member who leads major programs and fosters successful client relationships. He serves Gannett Fleming as client and program development leader for the Transit & Rail Business Line in Canada and the Northeastern United States. Gillespie has led many of the firm’s largest programs, including the $13.5-billion GO Regional Express Rail, Metrolinx Transit Electrification project in Toronto, as well as other major planning, design, and construction projects. As part of Gannett Fleming’s 2020 strategic initiatives, Gillespie will continue to grow the Transit & Rail Business Line, driving market expansion throughout North America.
Brad Mason, PE, PMP, is a recognized leader with approximately 30 years of experience in developing large, complex programs. Mason serves as client and program development leader for the Transit & Rail Business Line in the MidAtlantic and Southeastern United States. As a senior program manager, he led general architecture and engineering services for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) $5.6-billion, 6-year capital improvement program. As a direct result of his efforts, Gannett Fleming landed another 5-year program management/construction management contract and a separate 5-year contract providing on-call general engineering consultant design services in support of WMATA’s new $9.7-billion capital improvement program. Mason will continue to oversee these WMATA contracts through 2020 and beyond.
Scott Sibley, PE, a proven project leader and principal with more than 40 years of experience, currently serves as chief of operations for the Transit & Rail Business Line worldwide. Sibley successfully directed and executed the opening and growth of Gannett Fleming’s Toronto, Ontario, and Vancouver, British Columbia, offices to their present staff of 70. His accomplishments include project management of tasks on the $450-million Northeast Corridor Infrastructure and Investment Development Professional Services Task Order Contract with the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak), and the management of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, King of Prussia Rail Extension project, overseeing track alignment, structures, stations, civil engineering, and stakeholder coordination.
Christopher Thompson, PE, has more than 20 years of experience on well-known transit & rail projects such as Metrolinx and the Caltrain Rail Corridor Electrification, as well as Amtrak projects including high-speed rail, and numerous Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) assignments. Thompson currently serves as the Transit & Rail Business Line systems director. His understanding of the rail systems market and commitment to excellence in thought leadership, project management, and client focus will help Gannett Fleming mature in new locations and stay agile amid changing industry trends through 2020 and beyond.
