Gannett Fleming has relocated its office in South Plainfield, New Jersey, to a new building in Piscataway. The company celebrated the grand opening on Nov. 28 by welcoming clients, local dignitaries and other guests to the new facility, which the firm’s affiliate companies – Gannett Fleming Architects, Inc. and Gannett Fleming Project Development Corporation – designed and constructed.
New Piscataway office address:
1 Centennial Avenue, Suite 201
Second Floor, Building C
Piscataway, NJ 08854
In addition to an upgrade in space – from 18,500 square feet to 23,000 square feet – the design includes collaborative areas and conference rooms, a wellness room, low volatile organic compound (VOC) paints, and an option to go 100 percent digital, meaning no walls of filing cabinets.
This move aligns with the firm’s expansion efforts in the region, giving the ability to develop client services in a more modern and collaborative work environment. Gannett Fleming’s legacy in Middlesex County and commitment to the Garden state is evident in the many projects completed there, including the $215 million reconstruction of New Jersey Route 18 in the City of New Brunswick, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s $500 million facilities improvement program, and the New Jersey American Water $40 million Canal Road Water Treatment Plant design-build expansion.
“We’ve been a proud community partner for nearly 50 years, and our Piscataway office serves as the hub of Gannett Fleming’s northeast operations,” said Robert Matthews, PE, ENV SP, a Gannett Fleming vice president and Piscataway office principal. “Since coming to New Jersey, we’ve grown from a handful of employees serving the highway design industry, to more than 230 engineers, architects and professionals paving the way for continued award-winning solutions in transportation, water, power, facilities, technology, asset management, construction, and earth sciences.”
