Gannett Fleming, a global infrastructure and engineering firm, continued its rapid expansion by opening a new office in Sacramento, California, on Dec. 6.
“This new, central location supports our expanding dams and hydraulics, security and safety, power, transportation, facilities, and water resource business line offerings,” said Bob Scaer, PE, Gannett Fleming chairman and CEO. “This aligns with Gannett Fleming’s expansion goals for the West Coast, allowing us to develop and strengthen client services and support and position our firm for continued growth in the region.”

Sacramento will be the sixth California office for Gannett Fleming, a partner in the Golden State’s biggest infrastructure initiatives. This includes the $1.7 billion Caltrain Modernization Program, an on-going project that includes electrification and a positive train control system to improve commuter rail service from San Francisco to San Jose. In line with this partnership, Gannett Fleming is also assisting with the $1.1 billion Lake Oroville Spillways Emergency Recovery Project and Comprehensive Needs Assessment. Gannett Fleming is serving on the Board of Consultants, providing security consultation, facilitating Emergency Action Plan exercises and formal after-action reviews, and participating on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission mandated Level 2 Risk Analysis Facilitation Team.
