Giuseppe (Joe) Tulumello, AIA, LEED® Green Associate, has been named leader of Gannett Fleming’s Northeast Region Facilities Business Line. In this role, Tulumello will oversee business strategy and planning, project delivery, and operational growth of Gannett Fleming’s facilities practice across Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
“There are tremendous opportunities in the northeast facilities markets, including transportation, general building, power, water supply, life sciences, and education,” said George Campanella, PE, Facilities Business Line director and senior vice president. “Joe will use his technical expertise and knowledge in the region to capture the opportunities these markets provide, and to solve our clients’ most challenging issues to position them and – by extension, Gannett Fleming – for success.”
With nearly 20 years in the industry, Tulumello’s experience spans complex, multidisciplined facilities projects. He has served as the project manager for multiple facility renovation and modernization assignments at Metro-North Railroad’s Grand Central Terminal. He also served as project manager and oversaw the design-build services for the Springfield Railcar Assembly Facility in Massachusetts, a 211,000-square-foot facility used by the China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation for the assembly of rail car components.Tulumello earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from Pace University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology. He is a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and the American Institute of Architects. He also has volunteered as a mentor with the Architecture, Construction, and Engineering (ACE) Mentor Program of Greater New York, inspiring high school students to pursue careers in design and construction.
