Gannett Fleming Names 2017 Senior Associates

(Harrisburg, Pa.) Gannett Fleming named eight new senior associates in recognition of their significant role in the future of the firm. This distinction recognizes each individual’s excellent work efforts, commitment to client service, and leadership.

  • Luis Casado, PE - Gannett Fleming

    Luis Casado, PE, is a senior vice president and serves as Southeast Region director and deputy director of the Water Business Line. He is responsible for the overall financial, operational, management, and administrative performance of eight Southeast Region offices. With more than 24 years of experience, Casado led some of the most complex infrastructure projects across the southern U.S., as well as in Central and South America. His professional portfolio includes projects for clients in the water, earth science, construction services, and GIS markets. Casado earned a bachelor of science and a master of science in civil engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
  • Andrew Gillespie, PE - Gannett Fleming

    Andrew Gillespie, PE, currently serves as vice president of the Transit & Rail Systems Practice and systems project director responsible for setup, organization, and day-to-day oversight of project management, development, engineering, and overall delivery of complex rail and transit systems projects. Gannett Fleming Transit & Rail Systems specializes in transit and railroad track, signal, communication, and electric traction design. Gillespie holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from Northeastern University.

  • Michael S. May - Gannett Fleming

    Michael S. May brings 30 years of experience to his role as vice president for construction management and design-build operations in the Northeast Region. May specializes in contract administration, program and project management, business development, strategic planning, and growth. He completed coursework in engineering and business from East Stroudsburg University and the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

  • Michael J. Mehaffey, PE - Gannett Fleming

    Michael J. Mehaffey, PE, serves as senior project manager and senior project engineer in Gannett Fleming’s water practice. He performs and directs engineering services related to water resources and water utilities, including comprehensive planning studies, management studies, financial analyses and studies, and the design of projects such as water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and transmission mains. Mehaffey earned his bachelor of science in civil engineering and his master of environmental engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. 

  • Eric E. Rensel - Gannett Fleming

    Eric E. Rensel has served Gannett Fleming for more than 17 years and was recently named a vice president. He specializes in innovative ways for transportation agencies to mitigate congestion by improving roadway operational efficiency. Rensel has helped clients implement traffic incident management and intelligent transportation systems strategies in the U.S. and abroad. Rensel is a leader in advancing the firm’s connected and automated vehicle (CV/AV) and smart cities capabilities. He holds a bachelor of science in structural design and construction engineering technology from The Pennsylvania State University.

  • Bryan J. Shober, PE - Gannett Fleming

    Bryan Shober, PE, currently serves as manager of Transit & Rail Systems’ MidAtlantic Overhead Catenary System (OCS) group, consisting of 21 dedicated OCS engineers, designers, and technicians that service projects across North America. Shober has over 15 years of experience working with railroad agencies, specializing in catenary and transmission support structures and line design, as well as construction management. He holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from Villanova University.

  • Jasmine R. Sodemann - Gannett Fleming

    Jasmine R. Sodemann serves as vice president, as well as the office principal and area manager of Gannett Fleming’s Madison and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, operations, representing the environmental management and remediation and water/wastewater practices. Sodemann is an environmental specialist who provides environmental consulting services for projects involving industrial and manufacturing facilities. She specializes in air quality services, including air permitting, federal and state regulatory applicability reviews, emissions evaluations, and compliance reporting. Sodemann holds a bachelor of science in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. 

  • Anthony Zamberlan, PE - Gannett Fleming

    Anthony Zamberlan, PE, is vice president of power services for Gannett Fleming. In this role, he designs and specifies power systems for the industrial, commercial, and utility markets, as well as small- and large-scale renewable energy systems. He previously served as vice president of the LDP Group, Inc., which was acquired by Gannett Fleming on Jan. 1, 2017. Zamberlan holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering as well as computer engineering from the University of Missouri.
