Gannett Fleming, a global infrastructure and engineering firm, ascended seven spots on the annual Consulting-Specifying Engineer’s 2019 MEP Giants list, landing at No. 39. The 100 firms who make the cut represent the top mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) and fire protection engineering firms in North America.
“Gannett Fleming continues to push the limits in MEP, providing best-in-class client support with elite engineered systems throughout the U.S.,” said Brian Seip, PE, Gannett Fleming’s Electrical Practice leader. “Our jump up this list shows we are MEP thought leaders who can quickly adapt to the ever-changing building engineering industry.”
Several ongoing Gannett Fleming MEP projects contributed to this successful ranking, including delivery of MEP services for the Fulton Theatre Expansion project. The Lancaster, Pennsylvania, theatre will receive more than $29 million in upgrades. Additionally, Gannett Fleming provided MEP services for a $80-million design-build contract with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority for the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) Enhanced Stations Initiative. As part of the project, Gannett Fleming provided design and construction oversight, modernizing eight LIRR stations and improving overall customer experience. Finally, the firm supported the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Health system with services for the adaptive reuse of approximately 8,000 square feet of space to accommodate a new women’s imaging center. The center provides local access to an extensive primary care network and empowers women to achieve the best level of health possible.
Gannett Fleming reported approximately $43 million in MEP revenue for 2018, an increase of $13 million over the previous year.
