Gannett Fleming Engineers and Architects, P.C. Appoints Augustin Vice President

(Woodbury, N.Y.) Lars Augustin, PE, a senior project manager, has been named a vice president of Gannett Fleming Engineers and Architects, P.C. He is based in the firm’s Woodbury, New York, office.  

Augustin is a 20-year veteran of the firm and directs the engineering efforts for municipal and industrial infrastructure projects, including overseeing many engineering disciplines and all phases of design and construction. His specialties include wastewater treatment plants, sewage and water pumping stations, fuel oil storage tank systems, and stormwater treatment systems. 

Augustin’s experience includes providing project management for the rehabilitation of the Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant Sludge Dewatering and Grit Removal Facilities in Nassau County, New York, and various upgrades to the Grass Island Wastewater Treatment Plant in Greenwich, Connecticut. He also worked on the Sewer District 21 SUNY Stony Brook Wastewater Treatment Plant in Stony Brook, New York, and the Long Island Railroad Train Wash Pretreatment Facilities in Babylon and Ronkonkoma, New York.

Augustin holds a bachelor of science in environmental engineering from Wilkes University and a master of science in environmental engineering from Manhattan College. He is on the board of directors of the Long Island Chapter of the New York Water Environment Association and was awarded its Young Professional Service Award in 2009.
