William F. Foos, CPP, PSP, was named senior director of security services of Gannett Fleming. Based in the firm’s corporate headquarters in Harrisburg, Pa., Foos provides security and force protection consulting services for the firm.
A veteran with more than 27 years of security and anti-terrorism experience, Foos works with government agencies and owners of critical national infrastructure on matters of security and security risk management. His experience includes managing a private security contract valued at $54 million and an overall security program valued at $300 million. A former lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves, he is experienced in applying vulnerability and risk methodologies used for evaluating various types of infrastructure. Throughout his career, he has participated in and reviewed more than 300 vulnerability and security risk studies.
Foos is a Certified Protection Professional and Physical Security Professional. He holds a master of business administration from Campbell University and a bachelor of arts in business administration from the University of Nebraska. Active in professional associations, he is a member of ASIS International, the Association of State Dam Safety Officials, the Association of the United States Army, and Security Analysis and Risk Management Association. Foos’ top military awards include a Meritorious Service Medal and a Bronze Star.
