ENR MidAtlantic Names Moguel to List of Region's Best & Brightest

(Virginia Beach, Va.) Gregory G. Moguel, PE, ENV SP, NACE CIP II, has been selected as one of the Top Young Professionals in the construction industry by Engineering News-Record MidAtlantic. Moguel is a construction services project manager for Gannett Fleming and leads the design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure. He has been with the firm for 10 years.

“Greg wants to be fully engaged in the field, managing contractors and being hands-on with the project, which makes him an especially valuable asset,” said Raymond S. Deering, CCM, DBIA, the Virginia Construction Services area manager. “He is truly multi-talented.”

  • Norchester Street Pump Station Replacement, Norfolk, VA – Hampton Roads Sanitation District
  • Bridge Coatings Inspection – Bridge Preservation, Catawba County, NC - North Carolina Department of Transportation
  • Engineering Services – Inspection and Evaluation of Water Storage Tanks, Newport News, VA – Department of Public Utilities (Waterworks)
  • Neighborhood Water and Sewer Main Rehabilitation and Replacement, Pump Station 17 Service
  • Area, Norfolk, VA – City of Norfolk Utilities
  • Westport Commerce Park 2MG Standpipe and 3MGD Booster Pump Station Construction, Suffolk, VA –  City of Suffolk Department of Public Utilities 
A native of Belize in Central America, Moguel holds an associate degree in applied science from the University of Belize and a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of North Florida. He is a registered professional engineer in Virginia and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Water Works Association, and the Water Environment Federation. Additionally, Moguel volunteers for the Virginia Water Environment Association, setting policy for stormwater management, planning conferences, and helping to clean up the Chesapeake Bay. He also serves as a celebrity reader and science fair judge at a local elementary school. 

The Top Young Professionals competition, formerly known as Top 20 Under 40, honors construction industry professionals who display outstanding leadership in their respective construction and design careers and volunteer their time and skills to give back to their industry communities.
